LabSud 2021
The first edition of LabSud will welcome six authors of first or second feature films from the southern region for a one-week residency session in Marseille, from November 30 to December 5, 2021.

Alhamydi El-karim born in Comoros in 1993, arrives in France at the age of 6 to join his parents. After a professional bac Clim, he decided to reorient himself in the medical-social by going to study nursing in Belgium. My name is Mahieddine BENABED (known as Mahi BENA), I was born on November 09, 1974 in Oran, Algeria. I did all my studies and my life in Algeria until the famous November 12, 2001 and where I set foot for the first time in France. In Algeria, thanks to the film club, cinema became more than a passion for me. When I arrived in France, I took screenwriting classes in a workshop led by David Barouk at Method Acting. Since then I have written several short films, feature films and series. The latest one is called "Probation", a radio series produced by France Culture and will be broadcasted next October.

Nadia Anebri
Nadia Anebri is a young French director. She directed her first short film, Petit Poussin in January 2020. Produced by Alexandre Gavras and Nérimen Hadrami, the latter continues to produce it within her structure created in Marseille in 2021, Toni Films. Petit Poussin is selected in many French and international festivals. Manel is her first feature film. Nadia Anebri is developing two short films, one of which is in plenary at the pre-directing aid of the CNC.

Frédéric Bernard
Born in Cannes in 1981, he took a Master's degree in cinema with a directing option at the IUP SATIS. After years of assisting, he decides to refocus on his projects and to move to directing. He directed three short films : Brûlent les villes, brûle le ciel (2020 - Prix de la mise en scène Côté-Court 2021), Un point dans la foule (2017), Demain (2012). At the same time, he attended training courses with the G.R.E.C. or the Ateliers Varan and obtained grants such as those from the Beaumarchais Foundation. He continues his cinematographic quest where politics collides with poetry.
