The session took place from 3 to 7 November 2024.
Andréa Haug
A biologist by training, Andréa Haug specialises in the relationship between humans and their natural and man-made environment. After becoming a science journalist for the written press, she went on to direct documentaries. Among the films she has written and directed are committed works on human rights and deforestation (Green Card sous les Tropiques - Les Penans abattent leur dernière carte), solidarity (Pompiers Sans Frontières: 20 ans d'engagement ici et dans le monde), science in the service of nature protection (webdoc www. biodiv-laos.fr in competition at the International Environmental Film Festival, the scientific series Sous la surface with RFI and the IRD, etc.) or helping people to feel better after illness (La Bulle Bleue). She also shares her insight and knowledge in the form of film workshops (short films) and media workshops (audiovisual reports), which she runs for a variety of audiences (schoolchildren, students, people with disabilities, etc.). Whatever their form, the author believes in the power of stories, which have always nurtured our hopes, sharpened our awareness of the world, and marked and sometimes transformed our humanity through the emotions they generate. Since 2020, working alone or as part of a team, Andréa Haug has also been a fiction writer on series, short and feature film projects, often featuring female characters.

Camille Martin Donati was born in 1993 near the Alps. After studying literature, communications and cinema, she worked closely with scriptwriters and authors as a development officer - in documentary at Roche Productions and then in fiction at Arte. In 2019, she shot En meute ou solitaire, her first short film with the G.R.E.C and the IUT de Corse. In 2023, she shot her medium-length film Mauvais sort, produced by rikiki, with pre-production support from the CNC and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. She now lives in Marseille, where she works as 1st assistant director, while writing her next projects.

Un salon au fond du lac

Slimane Hadjar
Slimane Hadjar’s journey is marked by an unwavering passion for cinema and a fierce determination to break stereotypes. A graduate of Paris X University with a degree in Performing Arts, specializing in cinema, screenwriting, and directing, Slimane also received solid acting training at the conservatory and the prestigious Identity School of Acting in London. He has played leading roles in films such as “L’embrasement” by Philippe Tribois (Arte) and “Djihad !” by Félix Olivier (Canal+).These films tackle sensitive subjects like the 2005 suburban riots following the deaths of Zyed and Bouna, and the story of a young fighter in Iraq who ends up imprisoned in camps at Guantanamo Bay. However, Slimane quickly becomes aware of the negative image often conveyed by the stigmatizing roles assigned to him. Confronted with this reality, he decides to end his acting career to resume his studies and enrolls in a Master’s program in Public Policy/Research, which leads him to the path of teaching. With passion and determination, Slimane now embraces his new career as a teacher inREP+ (Reinforced Priority Education Network) middle schools in Seine-Saint-Denis before moving to Marseille. He finds great satisfaction in imparting knowledge, but he often misses cinema. This nostalgia fuels his creativity and encourages him to write regularly. This compelling urge to return to his first love, cinema, materializes after a burnout that further isolates him in his writing bubble. It is in this context that “Un vélo à Marseille” is born, the story of a teacher who throws himself into the search for a stolen bicycle belonging to a movie star, navigating moral dilemmas, student manipulation, and a quest for redemption in the sensitive neighborhoods of Marseille.
Un vélo à Marseille
During a film shoot in Marseille, a movie star's bicycle is stolen. The actress promises a reward of thirty thousand euros. Yanis and Adèle, a couple in crisis, Ismaël and Fares, two broke high school students, and Tony, an incorruptible cop from the Bac Nord, are ready to do anything to get the money. Soon, the whole city of Marseille is buzzing.
Samir Bouallegue
He began his adventure at the Beaux-Arts in Toulon, where he tried his hand at video art. But he soon realised that video art was a bit like makroud without dates... It lacks something. He turned to teaching, because let's be honest, what better way to avoid the art world than to teach it? At the same time, he was creating short films with an absurd universe and, surprise, surprise, his work found its way into a few festivals. Then he took part in the famous 48h Film Project, which he won internationally. It was at this point that a luminous thought - or perhaps a simple bout of fatigue - crossed his mind: ‘Zeubi*, what if I carried on? So he started writing screenplays, and so far, so good. ‘Dernier makroud avant la fin du monde’ is his first feature film.
* Zeubi’ is a slang term that has its origins in the Arabic language. It is often used in a vulgar and crude way to refer to the male penis.
Dernier Makroud avant la fin du monde

Florence Hugues
As the daughter of a physics and chemistry and history teacher, it was only natural that I should turn to the cinema. After studying writing and directing, I worked as a grip and then in production, joining Les Fées Production and then Pierre Grise Productions. At the same time, I directed several short films (Supporter, L'oeil du Cyclo and Max). In 2015, I joined the script workshop at the Fémis and developed my first feature film ‘La Palme’, set in Cannes. In 2021, I will be developing a second project, Carcasse, at the Screenwriting Workshop. I'm also co-writer of Avec l'humanité qui convient, directed by Kacper Checinski.

Samir's love will drive Jessica to free herself. Jessica's revolution is rolling forward like a bulldozer. it's La Palme.
Alain Layrac

In 1997, he wrote the screenplay for the film "Héroïnes", directed by Gérard Krawczyk, which was a TV hit despite failing in theaters. His original screenplay "Mauvaises Fréquentations" was directed by Jean-Pierre Améris in 1999, marking the debut of Lou Doillon and earning a César nomination for Robinson Stévenin. In 2001, his original screenplay "Barnie et ses petites contrariétés" was adapted by Bruno Chiche, starring Nathalie Baye and Fabrice Luchini. In 2005, he again wrote the original screenplay for the film "Avant qu'il ne soit trop tard", directed by Laurent Dussaux.
